If you don’t care about name brands, this fitness-tracking watch is an adequate alternative. The watch was easy to set up, though when trying to change the watch face, I got a notification that the memory was full. I had not added anything to the watch so I’m not sure why the memory was full already. The watch allows you to add more “widgets” to track different events, such as sleep, stress, and even menstrual cycles. The watch tracks a wide variety of exercises and I couldn’t find anything I do that wasn’t represented. There’s the ability to track both indoor and outdoor running, indoor and outdoor walking, cycling, indoor and outdoor swimming, and yoga. I think there are more options, but those are the ones I recall. Like other name-brand fitness trackers, this offers free choices of different watch faces. However, the instructions are lacking. When I tapped on the Weather icon to get the current info, the watch face told me I needed to connect it. But the instructions don’t address this and the watch was already connected to my phone via BlueTooth, which was the only information that the instructions offered. So one of the functions that I use frequently doesn’t appear to be available.
If you get this tracker, just be aware that it might not have as many bells and whistles as the name-brand devices do.

This is a really nice watch, with a few minor downsides. First, the good. It is easy to read, easy to connect to your phone, the notifications work great, and it looks great. Watch face can be customized with a large number of free useful face designs. The screen is large and easy to see even in sunlight. The watch has a vibration and sound cue for incoming calls and notifications. The step counter, heart rate, SpO2 monitor, and sleep tracker all work great. I have not tested the automatic fitness tracker, but I am not much into activity so that was not a concern for me. Now the not-so-great. The battery is said to last 7-10 days, but I was down to 30% in two and a half days. This is not a big deal for me, as I usually charge my watch daily . The silicone band that comes with it is uncomfortable to wear and not easy to get adjusted for a good snug fit. You can answer calls on the watch, but the speaker is so quiet it is hard to hear and I do not recommend answering your calls with the watch alone. Also, some of the watch faces are premium and will cost money in the app if you want to use them. Speaking of the app, the VeryFit app is intuitive and easy to install and use. under notifications, there is a setting for Mail, messaging, calls, social media, and “other”. Other notifications on an android phone seems to cause a ton of somewhat confusing notifications to come up. Overall, I would recommend this watch, but just be aware that you likely will need to charge it once every 2-3 days rather than once a week, and if you do not like silicone bands you may want to look into replacing the band on this watch.

For a budget, no-name watch, this is pretty impressive.

It’s pretty fast and responsive enough, and the screen looks crisp. It’s quite a large and domineering screen if you’re not already accustomed to that big watch lifestyle, and definitely more in line with sizing for men’s watches than women’s.

The screens can be cycled through easily either by swiping or with the knob on the side, which is really convenient, and I like having the tactile option rather than keeping absolutely everything relegated to the touch screen.

One thing I do not care for is that the watch is unusable without pairing a phone. This would of course be necessary if you want to integrate it into texting and calling, but is overkill and unwelcoming to folks looking for a simple customizable watch with fitness metrics. Fortunately at least, the app seems to be fairly popular and trustworthy, which is important because the manufacturer leaves you no choice.

The biggest reason I got it was to help my girlfriend keep an eye on her heart rate; for this it unfortunately just didn’t do the trick. The Quican watch was regularly more than 10% off of the name brand, which already was usually another 10% off of more accurate readings by a pulse oximeter. It also seems to lag very significantly in vitals monitoring, and a spike in heart rate will take a long time to reflect on the watch; and when it does, it’ll likely still be outside of a reasonable margin of error.

I’m really genuinely impressed by the myriad of budget-friendly fitness tracker / smart watches on the market right now. Most of the ones I’ve encountered have item numbers like IDW13, IDW18, and IDW19. This Quican one is the IDW18 model.

A few years ago I was wanting to have some of the fun data that my partner was collecting with her FitBit. Being an iPhone user, the Apple Watch got first consideration but I simply couldn’t tolerate such an expensive item potentially needing to be charged Every Single Night… especially because I wanted the sleep tracking like my lady has! In the end, I went with a FitBit Sense which was on sale for about half the price of an Apple Watch, but promised 5 days or more of battery life. Honestly, I’ve never really regretted the decision… though there are some things about the FitBit that could be improved, like the inability to see a notification after it’s initial display… even if you didn’t get to see it!!

Lately I found myself wanting something more traditional looking because I always loved watches, and this IDW18 caught my eye for it’s sharp looks… to me, at least. I also have other IDWxx watches and among the first things I’ve done with them is to change the watch face in the VeryFit app… but with this one from Konitee, I was happy with the watch face right out of the box. It’s sleek and stylish and includes enough info that I’m happy.

The touch screen is nice and easy to use — swipe down and you get watch settings; swipe up for recent notifications that the VeryFit app can be set to push to the watch; left and right get you various activity details and additional apps, which are configurable. And yes, you can scroll back through recent notifications – yay!

The rubber/silicon strap is nice, though a traditional style – not like an Apple Watch. But it feels good and works well, in any case.

The VeryFit app isn’t as refined as the FitBit app, but still does a good job. Fitness tracking seems to be reliable and accurate enough for me.

Battery life is excellent at an easy 5-7 days depending on the number of notifications, whether you have vibration and/or sounds turned on, screen brightness, and so on. Charging to 100% only takes a couple hours too.

But then I discovered something… I noticed that with this watch connected to my iPhone using Bluetooth, requests to “Siri” would not complete. The multi-coloured Siri listening blob would hang around for a while and then go away. And then, the watch would restart! Weird, right?! As it turns out, I have another IDW18 in a different colour and I contacted the seller via Amazon and – long story, short – they advise that a new IDW18 firmware will hopefully be available mid-October.

If it wasn’t for this issue, I would give the watch a full 5-star review. If it weren’t for the quick response I got, I would have given the watch a 3-star review. Out of optimism, I am submitting a 4-star review and I WILL BE BACK to UPDATE this review depending on whether I see a firmware update and Siri fix in the near future.

This is a reasonably decent (albeit basic in comparison to most others) fitness tracker/smart watch (IDW18) that appears well-built and for the most part works as expected. It has the most common monitors (HR, BP, and SpO2) which are quite typical for these fitness trackers nowadays. However, unlike most others with metal casing/shell, the case for this is entirely made of plastic including the buckle which is a bit surprising to see (usually one of ’em is metal) and at the same time disappointed.

It does have many of the standard features as most other budget or off-brand smart watches have and it has the typical silicone/rubber straps. In addition, it also has a plastic buckle whereas many others have a metal one instead and that tells you a lot about this watch, isn’t it? Lastly, it has a single crown which again is rather basic and that’s certainly nothing to write home about.

≡ Note
These so-called SMART WATCHES are really just FITNESS TRACKERS with added features (i.e. flashlight, calculator; mostly useless ones too) and it’s NOT a true smart watch/device. A true smart device operates by itself on its own without the NEED to install an App for it to run and without depending on another device (i.e. your phone) to run.

For instance, if your PHONE requires an App to be installed on a LAPTOP in order for various functions on your phone to work, or if your phone would lose certain features WHEN your laptop goes offline, would you consider your phone to be a SMART phone? Well, I wouldn’t and I’ll be extremely upset if that’s the case, and that’s exactly what happens here most of these so-called smart watches.

≡ Features
By standard I don’t mean one or two, in fact, the standard nowadays is about a dozen or so including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen monitor just to name a few. Unfortunately, although it does have all 3 monitors (HR/BP/SpO2) which is exactly what I want and need, the HR and BP don’t seem to be accurate at all (SpO2 appears to be reasonably accurate for the most part although we know the figures for the vast majority of healthy people is usually either 98% or 99%) which is quite upsetting to have found out after numerous tests. In addition, the steps counter seems to be off by about 4400+ so that’s not exactly accurate either but it’s certainly not the worst.

I should also mention that an increasing large number of these devices that I’ve come across lately have all suffered from the same (or at least quite similar) issues which implies to me that perhaps hardware (sensors and/or other related components) under the hood is identical across ALL of these watches.

It also has the typical sports and/or exercise related features that many others have. It has a significantly SMALL screen of just 1.38″ in comparison to 1.8x/1.9x or even 2.x screen for a square case. With that being said, 1.38″ is somewhat of a norm at this point in time for watches with a round case so that’s that. I should also note that the advertised 100+ sports requires the app; otherwise, only a handful or so are available (which is more than most people would need under normal circumstance).

≡ Battery
Its battery capacity is 270 mAh (claimed) but that’s difficult to verify so I’ll just have to take their words for it. In either case, whatever the capacity might be, the only thing I really care is that it can last me an entire day (charge once a day is fine with me).

With that being said, I also don’t have a clue about the longevity of the battery but that’s a common concern for all rechargeable smart watches out there (i.e. battery dies unexpected fast). Note that the default screen timeout is 5sec which is unusably short for me but it can be increased up to 30 seconds (whereas some other can’t t at all while a few can do 60 sec) so that’s great. I don’t necessarily want 30 sec but it’s nice to have the options (I set mine to 15sec).

≡ Water resistance
Btw, these fitness trackers/smart watches are NOT meant to be submerged in water (salty or otherwise) longer than a few minute even though they advertised as being IP68 or even 3 ATM which is completely nonsensical if you know what that really means (around 30m under water but it’s really meant for accidental submersion); otherwise, there is an extremely high probability that it will die prematurely.

For those who are curious about what the ‘VeryFit’ app (3.9 rating) requires;

Like nearly all other budget smart watches (or any other ‘smart’ devices really) out there, an App is REQUIRED for this to function at its fullest which means you are giving the manufacturer (and whoever they decide to share it with or without your permission) AND the app OWNER (i.e. some company in China and that equates to the gov in this case) your COMPLETE and entire historical data.

Some people consider some of these (i.e. precise GPS location, health info, heart rate, blood pressure, or the alike) to be ‘extremely’ personal information and therefore are private. Data mining, analysis, prediction, and eventually profit making and/or a form of control will be vital in many aspects of our lives in the foreseeable future. If this concerns you at all, look elsewhere.

All things considered, this is a somewhat decent (albeit basic) FITNESS TRACKER (with some smart watch functions) that works just fine if you don’t care about any of the issues mentioned above, in particular the issues with the HR and BP monitors and to a certain degree the step counter. It’s reasonably priced at $36 for what it provides (a generic fitness tracker, IDW18) and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance. Your mileage might vary.

There really is a lot to like about this particular smart fitness tracker, especially for girls wanting a traditional “watch” aesthetic.

Brought to you by the Quican distributor brand, who seem to have particularly come a long way over many other distributors, in terms of offering products that customers can feel confident they have been provided a sense of commitment to quality.

The watch feels premium on the wrist, and seems to have very accurate and responsive software that collects fitness and health data very much in the same way a more premium brand such as a traditional “Fitbit” would. It provides the basic results of this data directly on the watches touch screen interface, and also sends a more detailed version of that data back to a bluetooth connected phone app on the Android or Apple compatible mobile of your choice.

It does these things so well, all while offering audio sending and receiving through bluetooth connected built-in speaker and microphone that lets you both make and take calls, and even listen to music sent from your phone and favorite music app. If you to see notifications from text and social networks? It has that too. It has all you need really, if that’s all you’re looking for.

There is also a menu full of pretty watch faces on the app that can be uploaded to the watch and cover the entire circumference of the big and crisp round screen.

This is the perfect company for any lady, and is fortunately more than just a “pretty face” but has several features unique to women that make it a fine partner on your daily routine.

Watch is light weight , and has a soft silky feet to the band, the housing I believe is plastic but it may be a light metal. My only complaint is that you need to download an app and pair the watch before the watch will even work, you can then uninstall the app if you wanted and the watch still functions with basic functions. I have not had a smart watch that forced you to install an app just to get the display to start. Once installed though the watch will activate and you can see the time and features such as blood pressure, O2 levels, heart rate, sleep, woman’s health trackers etc all work on first attempt. The display is sharp and screen is easy to see/read, it is also a bit larger of a screen than many smart watches. You can create a custom face if you wish to, or choose from 100’s that you can get with the App. The App is easy to use, the App and phone are linked through the Bluetooth, once the watch is paired with your phone you can get the current temp/weather, make phone calls, listen to music and more The watch even has a speaker that you can listen to your music or phone calls, It also has a mic that can be used to speak on the phone, or voice assistant and other features. In the box was the charger, which is a magnetic kind, an instruction book that is semi useless but no different than most instruction books now and days. all and all it is a nice smart watch for any woman in your life. good price and lots of features, 5 out of 5.
